President Muhammadu Buhari’s Schedule Last Week After Return From London

Garba Shehu, Abuja: President Muhammadu Buhari said last week was my first week at work after my vacation.

“I spent the week catching up by getting briefings, and presiding over meetings on the Economy and Security.”

MONDAY: Resumption; Handover briefing by VP Professor Yemi Osinbajo. Covered the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP), the Niger Delta Dialogue, the newly-launched National Action Plan for Ease of Doing Business, newly-launched MSME Clinics, and others

TUESDAY: Briefing from Central Bank Governor, on Nigeria’s liquidity situation, external reserves, and outlook for the rest of 2017.

TUESDAY: Meeting with Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki & House Speaker Yakubu Dogara, on #Budget2017 and other issues

WEDNESDAY: Presided over weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting.

THURSDAY: Meeting with Ministers of Finance and Budget & National Planning, on the economy, #Budget2017 and liquidity issues.

THURSDAY: Meeting with State Governors who were in Abuja for the monthly National Economic Council Meeting. Approved release of 2nd Tranche of London-Paris Club Refunds to State Governments.
